Been a pretty busy week, weekend. Finally went out and bought some drawing tools. Decided that if I'm going to model a car I'm going to try designing one myself! Haven't even touched Terragen all week either, all these snowy landscapes are giving me ideas though, just gotta read up some more tutorials first.

So spent most of last night and this morning reading, watching some more Terragen 2 tutorials. Found a very good resource site where I could download pre-made objects. Trees, plants, vegtation etc... Just got a simple autumn tree and fallen leaves, figured out how to change the heading off the sun as well, the tree shadows are a nice touch. Next think I want to accomplish is a snowy alps scene and i'll be starting on a 3D model today hopefully so stay tuned.

Hey everyone name is Zac, Recently dumped $1500 on a great computer just so I could get back into 3D modeling. I used to model cars using a program called Zmodeler and also made landscapes with Terragen to use as render backgrounds. Spent the last 2 days reading up on tutorials as the programs I was used to have changed quite a bit. More powerful and more flexibility but the UI's are very confusing to me right now. For the first while i'll be messing around with Terragen 2 as now you can make space scenes which are pretty cool but I'll also have to work on improving my Photoshop skills to add in things such as stars and galaxies.
